See who's editing Wikipedia

Props to This Cal Tech graduate student, Virgil Griffith. He has created something very useful. Its about time someone has figured out how to trace the false statements and scandals placed on the website. This Wikipedia Scanner offers users a searchable database that ties millions of anonymous Wikipedia edits to organizations where those edits apparently originated, by cross-referencing the edits with data on who owns the associated block of internet IP addresses.

"Everything's better if you do it on a huge scale, and automate it," - Virgil Griffith.

  1. Well, added a level of protection. Underlying issue not completely solved!
